A better world is possible, and what's more, it's coming.... ˚ ༘✶ ⋆。˚ ⁀➷

About

I'm a writer, digital curator, and 'creative academic' residing at the intersection between philosophy and literary studies. Some of my areas of interest are: Deleuzianism in a literary context, copy-left literary and journal forms, Web-3 cyberfeminism, and the sublime/eros as cultural praxis. I am now obtaining in MA in Comparative Literature at UCL to deepen my historical literacy of counterpublics and those who have resided in them - who are the predecessors to the girlblogger? - and further develop my writing into a rigorous but dreamlike style.

In addition to my promising sapling of academic practice, I often use my social media to invite conversations around what it means to be a 'creative' in early adulthood, how to cope with the everlooming precarity and burnout in the art, media, and academic worlds, and how to maintain and strengthen genuine, languid, and meaningful communities that emerge from those shared struggles. Taking on an oftentimes unreliable and flittish career path in the arts/humanities because you believe you can make something beautiful can and will lead you to murmuring feelings of doubt, isolation, self-surveillance, and a feeling of 'existing outside of oneself/the present' - and I think it's important to talk about that.

In my free time, I model for art and fashion photoshoots and live drawing classes. I also enjoy attending random talks and panels in cultural spaces in central London, and yoga :-). I am always interested in opportunities for: teaching, lecturing, curating, modeling, writing, reading, or just talking. Reach out to me <3

And here is my full resume

1.2 TL;DR

1. I'm a servant of beauty, not a purveyor of truth.

2. Highly enamoured with canon and its consequences, while also borne of a bone for all things hysterically new.

3. #me on my Tumblr.

2 Currently....

Reading Ada or Ardor (1969) by Vladimir Nabokov for our upcoming theatre production, directed by Zlata Mechetina in collaboration with fashion designer Pernilla Weinholz

Supplying the @everyoneisagirl instagram with memes.

Working through the "Forever Mediated" reading list, conducting interviews through Substack about eroticisms, and watching golden age porn.

Looking for writing opportunities about the following topics: the cyberbaroque, the possibility of a peaceful internet, digital phenomenologies, abstract/disembodied sex, Kierkegaard's god, autotheory.

<--- Though honestly, I prefer "princess and tumblrina". What defines me (and in my opinion, you) is not my form of production, but rather my ideal situation: what kind of life would I lead in a better world? See: Princessmaxxing.

<--- I think I like Deleuze so much because he was equally addicted to "futile details" (a beloved phrase from Barthes) and wanted complexity for its own sake. His philosophy disposed with an objectivist ideal of 'communication' in favor of word-world that's more like a Rorschach blot or a love letter. I think that's very in-line with my contemporary practice of teetering between art and social/cultural 'research'.

<--- Classic Gen Z move is that I think best, do best short-form and short-term. (Nabokov described himself as a tessellator somewhere?) But I'm also so fascinated with the Other of discipline that I try to subvert this in an almost monastic way.
